Emily is an outstanding tutor who got me from failing my maths and English to getting top grades, I must admit it is only due to her amazing efforts as to how I got accepted into the grammar school at Leeds. If you’re struggling to find a tutor who understands your child’s needs and how to improve whilst making learning fun, Emily is the perfect tutor for you.
Year 10 Student
Jan is an amazing tutor for my children, very flexible, and really encouraged my children. They became more confident, took the time to go through things, and were very organised throughout.
I am incredibly grateful for the support and highly recommend her services to any parent.

Jan taught my daughter who is now 13 and being taught by Emily. Jan will be teaching my youngest son soon and we are really excited to work with her again,

We ask that lessons are cancelled as soon as possible but we know that emergencies happen. Lessons cancelled more than 24 hours in advance are not charged. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at half the fee. No-shows will be charged at the full price.
That is your choice. We have a mixture of both.
We find that 1 hour is the ideal length of time for maximum concentration whilst allowing understanding to be embedded.
We find that 30 mins is just not long enough to get into a topic fully. For that reason, if you are wanting two subjects, we would suggest a 1.5 hour session. Please note that not all teachers teach multiple subjects.
We have tutored from the age of 6 but we find that online sessions do work best from year 5 onwards, at which point, the children are more familiar with a computer and have a wider concentration span.
Yes we do and we currently have a 100% pass rate!
No. We charge for our time and not the level of the child.
A computer with a good internet connection. A ringbinder, flashcards, a calculator (maths and science) and pens/pencils/highlighter. Access to a printer is ideal but not essential as any required paper work can be posted out in advance.
The earliest lesson starts at 3:30pm and the latest starts at 7:30pm. Weekend lessons are also available…each tutor has different hours to suit their needs.
